About us

The Information Technology Division (ITD) provides automated information services and support to all divisions within TDCJ, the Board of Pardons and Paroles, Correctional Managed Health Care, and other external entities as needed. Services include applications programming, network support, special projects, system and network operations, support services, and administrative services. The Information Technology Division supports a user base of 15,000 terminals and PCs, and processes a daily average of 13 million transactions.

Its staff will work closely with the user community, relying upon the user community's business expertise in order to provide the information necessary for Information Technology staff to efficiently design, develop, and implement automated information systems employing proven technology and industry standard analysis and programming techniques.
