Summary of Incident: The subject used a social media sight, claiming to be someone else, to contact the victim of a previous felony criminal offense in which he was the suspect. On September 6, 2012, he arranged to meet her at her high school. The victim was surprised it was him, but got into the vehicle with the subject when he claimed he wanted to discuss the pending criminal case. He drove them to a trail near the Trinity River and used his .380 caliber pistol to shoot her twice. The victim fell partially into the river, and the subject pulled her onto the bank and stepped on her neck until she stopped breathing. He disposed of the weapon in a nearby pond and was arrested on September 8, 2012.
