What We Do
The Records Management Department (RMD) provides research, insight, and recommendations for achieving efficiencies and consolidation of offender records. The department also provides governance, support, and policy structure for all agency records; initiates and manages recordkeeping projects; and provides quality assurance reviews. Records Management monitors records retention and publishes theĀ TDCJ Records Retention Schedule. The RMD cannot answer questions regarding inmate time, custody, transfers, releases, or complaints.
