Toby Powell Named Deputy Director of Program Coordination & Development of the Rehabilitation Programs Division

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is pleased to announce the appointment of Toby Powell as deputy director of Program Coordination & Development of the Rehabilitation Programs Division.

Mr. Powell has 27 years of experience with the agency beginning in April 1994 as a correctional officer. He has promoted through the ranks as sergeant, lieutenant, captain, major and most recently assistant warden. Mr. Powell also spent three years in the Manufacturing and Logistics Division in the capacity of manager I, Offender Work and Training. Mr. Powell’s proven leadership and extensive agency experience will serve the agency well in this new capacity.
