Richard Babcock named Director of Laundry, Food and Supply

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is pleased to announce the selection of Richard Babcock as the Director II - Laundry, Food and Supply.

Babcock began his career in 1997 as a correctional officer at the Darrington Unit and has since held every uniformed supervisor position, including assistant warden and senior warden on several units. During that time, he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona. Babcock’s knowledge, progressive thinking, and leadership abilities have proven to be an asset to the Correctional Institutions Division and will serve him well in this new position.
