mentor tips

The following ground rules are directed to mentees. These rules need to be discussed with him/her by the mentor to help him/her succeed with the mentor program.

Mentoring is a mutual relationship with responsibilities and accountability on each person.

Faith is not a prerequisite for participation but mentoring programs are faith based.

The mentee will have to base their life around the conditions of their parole. This may necessarily require them to defer plans and find new friends.

Understand that not everything is a crisis. Your mentor is prepared to give you another perspective.

Do not hesitate to pray with your mentor.

You have been hurt and you must realize that healing takes time.
