mentor tips

It is important to understand the background of the offenders you will be mentoring.

The majority are in their 30’s.

The majority come from broken homes.

Based on their TCUDS (Texas Christian University Drug Screen) and ASI (Addiction Severity Index) scores, 59% of the offenders on hand are chemically dependent.

TDCJ will release approximately 70,000 offenders per year. It is imperative for them to overcome these challenges to successfully reenter society.
