Andrenett Hayes, Criminal Justice Administrator

2009 Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award

Andrenett Hayes is a Parole Supervisor for the TDCJ Parole Division. She is a dedicated employee, leader and wife. She works with community programs such as the Dallas Homeless Coalition; Region II Speakers Bureau; Community Partnership Council; Project Safe Neighborhood; Dallas County Coalition of Criminal Justice; and On Point Ministries.

Ms. Hayes is also a dedicated TDCJ volunteer. In 1997, she joined the TDCJ volunteer program and began serving with the Females First and Foremost Program (F3) located in the Dallas District Resource Office. The F3 program immerses female ex-offenders in a 16-week program of life skills classes that focus on self-esteem, substance abuse, parenting, relationships, cognitive skills, job readiness, domestic violence, and women's health issues. The program is so popular offenders being released from prison actually request to participate. In addition to facilitating two of the classes, Ms. Hayes arranges for community volunteers to be guest speakers and supporters of the program. She has also established the Ladies Night Out module where the participants meet for a weekly group meeting at a local restaurant.

For her commitment and dedication, Andrenett Hayes has been selected as the recipient for the Criminal Justice Administrator Volunteer Award.
