Public Information Act Requests

In Executive Directive 15.12, the executive director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) has designated Executive Services as the recipient of all requests under the Public Information Act.

Before you submit your request, please review the following for information that may be readily available:

General inmate information.

Seeking medical records.

Correctional Managed Health Care policies.

Subpoenas: Not a public information request; must be sent to direct office of record.

Requests can be submitted by e-mail, U.S. mail, hand delivery, or electronic submission through the TDCJ website as follows:
