Dave Saffle Named Deputy Chief Information Officer, Information Technology Division
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Saffle as the new Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Information Technology Division!
Mr. Saffle has more than 18 years of service with the TDCJ. He served in a management position in Accounting and Business Services and has worked his way through the ranks of the Information Technology Division to include analyst, programmer, and programming manager. In 2017, he was promoted to the Director of Enterprise Applications overseeing the daily planning and operations of application development, network and server support, and business continuity. Mr. Saffle has a Bachelor’s Degree from Sam Houston State University in Business and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Luther Rice University.
Mr. Saffle’s interpersonal skills are invaluable in the fast-paced environment of information Technology. His unique skills and experience enable him to maintain a positive outlook even when dealing with the most difficult situations and will serve the agency well in this new capacity.
