Skyview/Hodge loses employee in automobile accident

The Skyview/Hodge Complex, along with his hometown of Jacksonville, Texas, is mourning the loss of an employee who lost his life in an automobile accident.

52-year-old Correctional Officer V Guadalupe “Lupe” Meza Jr., had over 31 years of service with TDCJ and was assigned to Skyview Psychiatric Facility.

“A void has been left from the loss of Lupe,” said Warden Audrey England. “His constant positive attitude, his humor, and his smile were unique gifts that made each person he met feel as though they were his favorite person in the world. Lupe’s light will be missed by so many.”

Officer Meza is survived by his wife, Leigh, his children – Jeremy, Brittany, Tina, Anthony, and Chris – and his granddaughter, Kallie “Honeybun”; and nephew, Adam Meza, LVN at Skyview/Hodge UTMB.

Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. Service arrangements are as follows:

Visitation will be at Autry Funeral Home, 1025 Southeast Loop 456, Jacksonville, Tx, Tuesday July 28th from 1-6pm, the service will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 1023 Corinth Rd. At 11:00 am, Wednesday July 29th. There will be a short service following at Meador Cemetery in Jacksonville.
