Parole Officer Employment Opportunities

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles' Institutional Parole Officers interview offenders prior to release and prepare offender Parole Case Summaries for review by the board of Pardons and Parole. Offenders released to complete their sentences in Texas communities are then supervised by Parole Division District Parole Officers.

Institutional Parole Officer Positions

Vacancies for entry level Institutional Parole Officer positions under the Board of Pardons and Paroles are posted. District Parole Officer Positions

Vacancies for entry level District Parole Officer positions are not posted. A pool of applications for these positions is maintained in the Parole Central Human Resources Office. When a vacancy occurs, applicants from the pool are selected for interview. To apply for a District Parole Officer position, applicants must submit the State of Texas Application for Employment, TDCJ Employment Application Supplement, Parole Officer Statement of Availability and required documents to the following address:
